Though the new album has yet to hit stores, the first single has been released. “Turn On the Radio” was written by Cherie Oakley, Mark Oakley and J.P. Twang, and currently resides at No. 22 on the Billboard Country Songs chart.

“It was such a cool experience to hear it for the first time,” Oakley told TheBoot.com. “Words can’t really describe it. She just nailed the vocal. I was just blown away. When you write a song, you have a distinct vision for it. I have to say, I could not be happier.”

In other Reba news, her show Reba is moving to a new primetime slot on Lifetime.  Beginning June 7th is will air Monday nights at 7pm.  This July 4th, she will be performing at A Capital Forth, where she will be presented with The National Artistic Achievement Award “in recognition of her dedication to enriching the national legacy of the performing arts as well as her lifetime of musical contributions.”  Reba is the forth recipient of the award joining the ranks of composer John Williams (2003), Gloria and Emilio Estefan (2005) and Stevie Wonder (2006).

The fall leg will also include Nashville’s previously scheduled performance April 28th at Bridgestone Arena to occur on Saturday, September 11th.  All tickets for the April 28th date will be accepted at this rescheduled date.
